Sistem Kendali Pengikut Terarah Smart Wheelchair pada Pencahayaan Beragam Menggunakan Gamma Correction dan YOLOv8n Termodifikasi

Kursi roda merupakan salah satu alat bantu utama bagi penyandang disabilitas. Namun, penggunaan kursi roda dalam waktu yang lama dapat meningkatkan risiko kelelahan akibat tingginya upaya fisik yang diperlukan. Kursi roda yang ada saat ini memiliki keterbatasan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna dengan disabilitas ganda atau tunanetra karena mereka diharuskan untuk tetap memperhatikan lingkungan sekitar selama penggunaannya. Kursi roda yang mampu mendeteksi dan mengikuti pemandu dapat menjadi solusi inovatif. Namun, kinerja sistem yang mengandalkan deteksi visual sangat bergantung pada kondisi pencahayaan di lingkungan sekitarnya. Penelitian ini mengembangkan kursi roda pintar yang dilengkapi dengan gamma correction untuk meningkatkan visibilitas pada pencahayaan rendah, serta menggunakan YOLOv8n yang dimodifikasi dengan GhostNetv2 agar efisien di perangkat dengan komputasi terbatas seperti Jetson Nano. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa model YOLOv8n termodifikasi ini menurunkan parameter sebesar 42,9% dan mengompresi ukuran model hingga 39,2% dibandingkan dengan YOLOv8n baseline. Selain itu, sistem ini mendapatkan recall deteksi terhadap pemandu sebesar 91,8% secara keseluruhan. Pada pencahayaan normal, recall deteksi mencapai 100%, baik dengan maupun tanpa penggunaan gamma correction. Sementara itu, pada pencahayaan rendah, recall deteksi tercatat sebesar 90% saat menggunakan gamma correction dan 77,5% tanpa gamma correction.
